Student Advocacy Blog Post
From: "Eric Guillory"
Please see the link below to a blog post written by Michael Ausbun, Secretary/Treasurer of the Louisiana Association of Blind Students as well as First VP of the National Association of Blind Students. Michael's words underscore the importance of students advocating for themselves and others.
As parents and teachers, we are charged with advocating for those who may not be able to speak for themselves. However, as our children and students become adolescents and young adults, it is increasingly important that they find their voice and engage the broader world. Michael is one of many dynamic young leaders who have done just that. What he has to say speaks to the life-changing work being done at all levels in the National Federation of the Blind.
